The botanical garden

 

 

 

In the spring of 1935 the professor Gepetto C. returned from Tuscany accompanied by about ten clippings of Isoroi Vivace, a climbing plant reputed for its insatiable need of water. On 18 August of the same year, when all hope of regeneration seemed completely abandoned, a moribund shoot discretely entered this garden hose, the only one still able to save it.
